Homemade Laundry Soap

Are you tired of the toxins in your laundry detergent? Have you ever said to yourself “there has to be a better natural way”

Today’s post will show you how to make homemade laundry soap.

It is a natural, safe, non-toxic solution to toxic chemicals in laundry detergents.

It’s so safe and easy even your kids can make it, my son does.

This detergent lasts about nine months for a family of three doing three to four loads of laundry a week.

The three simple ingredients are as follows:

  • Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 55 oz
  • Borax Detergent Booster & Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner 65 oz
  • ZOTE or Fel-Naptha Soap – one bar

You can purchase them as a kit here.

It includes three smaller bars of 5.5 oz. You need about 14 ounces

You will also need

  1. cheese grater.
  2. one 80 oz container   I am not a big fan of plastic but with this amount of detergent, it is a little heavy.  I decided to use two smaller plastic containers.

It’s last longer and is less expensive than the toxic store-bought soap.

In the video below I show you step by step just how simple it is to make your very own “natural and non-toxic” laundry soap.

Borax is a detergent booster and multi-purpose household cleaner. Borax is a natural mineral (Sodium tetraborate) It helps to remove stains and neutralizes odors.

Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda is a household cleaner and laundry booster. Super washing soda makes you laundry whiter and brighter.

Zote or Fel-Naptha Soap is a high-quality laundry soap and brightener. You can be confident that your clothes are clean with no toxic chemical residue. Zote comes in a white bar or a pink bar. I like the white bar. Learn more uses for Zote and Fel-Naptha Soap here.
